It’s Important to Keep Learning
Research suggests that young people’s behavior and engagement improves when out of school time providers receive ongoing professional development. Research also shows that staff who participate in ongoing professional development are more engaged and responsive to the youth they serve.
We offer numerous learning opportunities for youth development professionals that are designed to improve practices and outcomes, including regularly scheduled community workshops as well as customized trainings. Training participants usually receive childcare training hour credits for licensed school-age programs in Nebraska.
Youth educators don’t have to be employed by CFY or one of our Partnering Agencies to take advantage of the learning opportunities.
